Description
The finest quality pocket dial thickness gauges which are made in the U.S.A..
These gauges are specifically designed for measuring paper, card, metal and other sheet materials in increments as small as one half of one thousandth of an inch (0.0005") or 0.01mm.
No special skills are required to use these gauges and the thickness is displayed on a clock face type dial.
The compact gauges fit comfortably in the hand and a press on the top plate opens the precision 0.25" (6.35mm) diameter flat anvils allowing the material to be measured to be inserted.
The thickness of the material is displayed on the dial in 0.001", 0.0005" or 0.01mm increments depending on the model selected.
The throat depth is 0.310" (7.874mm) for all models and the maximum thickness that can be measured is 0.375" for the 'inch' models and 9mm for the 'metric model'.
Three models are available:
BNS-0001 measures in 0.001" increments, dial reads from 0 to 100. 0.100" per revolution.
BNS-0002 measures in 0.0005" increments, dial reads from 0 to 50. 0.050" per revolution.
BNS-0003 measures in 0.01mm increments, dial reads from 0 to 100. 1mm per revolution.
Each gauge incorporates a small revolution counter hand that counts complete revolutions of the large hand.
Zero setting is made by adjusting a set screw at the base of the lower anvil.
An optional leatherette case is available.
