Description
A range of the highest quality precision etched stainless steel gauges and rulers. Item 'A' shown above is a gauge specifically designed to quickly and easily determine the correct size of an NPT ( National Pipe Taper ) pipe or fitting. Item 'B' shown above is a reference chart and table of pipe sizes, 'Drill and Tap' sizes, etc.
The item 'A' gauge shown above is available CUSTOM IMPRINTED with your name, sales message, logo, etc. The back of the gauge may be left blank or feature either the reference chart shown as item 'B' above or one of the other regular measuring rulers shown above as items 'D', 'E' and 'F'.
Pipe sizes can be confusing even for the experienced user. Pipe size is not the actual outside or inside diameter of the pipe but is the industry accepted designation. For example, a 3/4" pipe size has an actual outside diameter of 1.05".
This gauge ruler incorporates two measuring scales which are correctly calibrated to be used to measure the actual pipe or fitting and the pipe size may be read directly from the gauge. One measuring scale is used to measure the outside diameter of a male NPT thread on a pipe or fitting and the other is used to measure the internal diameter of a female NPT thread on a fitting. Pipe and Fitting sizes from 1/16" to 3 1/2" may be measured.
The use of this gauge ruler eliminates the guesswork in determining pipe and fitting sizes and can eliminate costly errors due to sizing mistakes. Ideal for use in all areas where pipe or fittings are used including maintenance, plumbing, inventory, specifying, construction, purchasing, etc..
The reference chart and table shown as item 'B' above lists the actual industry designated outside diameters of pipes for specific sizes and the appropriate ' Drill and Tap Sizes' for each pipe size. Number of threads per inch (TPI) is also listed. Included in the reference chart are pipe sizes from 1/8" to 3 1/2".
These gauges and rulers are a “must have" item for anyone who uses pipe.
Your custom imprint is permanently etched onto the gauge/ruler and black filled to produce a high quality long lasting imprint which will not rub off. All graphics and markings including your imprint are etched at the time the guage/ruler is manufactured.
The gauges and rulers are available one or two sided with the same or different fronts and backs. Select the front and back you require from the selection shown above. Single sided gauges and rulers are also available; select only the one side you require. Your custom imprint is permanently etched on both sides of a two-sided gauge/ruler and the imprints may be different on each side. Please note that item 'B', the reference chart as shown above may not be imprinted due to size limitations.
Mix and match the front and back you require from those shown above to produce a gauge and ruler perfectly matched for your needs.
These stainless steel gauges and rulers have rounded safety corners and a convenient 1/4" (6.35mm) diameter hang hole as standard.
