A single sided scale ruler specifically designed for use in the construction and building industries.
This ruler will quickly indicate the position and number of studs required for a structure on a drawing or blueprint.
The ruler features two scales, 1/4" = 1 foot and 1/8" = 1 foot. Adjacent to each of these scales is a 'stud' scale that corresponds to the number of studs required on 16" centers and marks indicating their exact positions.
The scales are numbered as follows:
1/8" = 1 foot Length in feet from 0 to 96 feet numbered in odd feet every 2 feet (1, 3, 5, 7, etc). Number of studs indicated every 16" from 1 to 73 & numbered every three studs (1, 4, 7, etc.)
1/4" = 1 foot Length in feet from 0 to 48 feet numbered in odd feet every 2 feet (1, 3, 5, 7, etc). Number of studs indicated every 16" from 1 to 37 & numbered every three studs (1, 4, 7, etc.).

The ideal ruler to use when estimating, designing or buliding frame structures with studs on 16" centers.
The ruler has rounded corners for safety and a 1/4” (6.35mm) diameter hang hole at the left end.
This ruler is 1 1/4” (31.75mm) wide and 0.030” (0.8mm) thick.
The overall scale length in actual inches is 12".
All graduations and markings are etched and black filled.
