Hands Free Magnifier And Assembly Fixture, 2.5x - Model ONS-0266

An indispensable combination magnifier and holding fixture to enable objects to be held and viewed with both hands free.

The unit incorporates a 2.5" (63.5mm) diameter precision ground magnifying glass with a magnifying power of 2.5x and two spring clip alligator/crocodile clip type work holders. Each of the spring clips and the magnifier are connected by adjustable and locking sliding ball joint assemblies to the main rail of the unit which enables them to be adjusted to any angle or position relative to each other.

The fixture rail is mounted using an adjustable and locking ball joint assembly to the heavy horsehoe cast iron base. This base provides for good stability.

A total of six ball joints provide a multitude of possible workholding positions.

The ideal device for holding difficult items that must be worked on with both hands while being viewed under magnification.

Suitable for many applications including, soldering, gluing, painting, precision alignment of parts, etc., etc..
