The finest quality handheld dial thickness gauges which are made in the U.S.A..
These gauges are specifically designed for measuring paper, card, metal and other sheet materials in increments as small as one half of one thousandth of an inch (0.0005") or 0.01mm depending on the model selected.
No special skills are required to use these gauges and the thickness is displayed on a clock face type dial.
The compact gauges fit comfortably in the hand and a press on the top plate opens the precision 0.250" (6.35mm) diameter flat anvils allowing the material to be measured to be inserted.
The thickness of the material is displayed on the dial in 0.0005" or 0.01mm increments depending on the model selected.
The throat depth is 2.500" (63.5mm) for all models and the maximum thickness that can be measured is 0.5" for the 'inch' model and 10mm for the 'metric model'.
Two models are available:
BNS-0030 measures in 0.0005" increments, dial reads from 0 to 50. 0.050" per revolution.
BNS-0031 measures in 0.01mm increments, dial reads from 0 to 100 1mm per revolution.
Each gauge incorporates a small revolution counter hand that counts complete revolutions of the large hand.
Zero setting is quick and easy by turning the dial face.
An optional robust jewelry type storage case manufactured from vinyl covered steel is available.
