A handheld 'Ring' dial thickness gauge which is made in the U.S.A..
These gauges are specifically designed for measuring paper, card, metal and other sheet materials in increments as small as one thousandth of an inch (0.001").
No special skills are required to use these gauges and the thickness is displayed on a clock face type dial.
These compact gauges are designed to fit comfortably in the hand with one finger through the ring.
To operate, press down on the lever with the thumb which opens the spring loaded anvils. Insert the material to be measured between the anvils, release the thumb and read the thickness of the material on the dial face of the gauge. The thickness of the material is displayed on the dial in 0.001" increments.
The diameter of the precision anvils is 0.3125" (7.938mm) to avoid compressing delicate materials.
The throat depth is 1.125" (28.575mm) and the maximum thickness that can be measured is 0.150".
One model is available: BNS-0140 measures in 0.001" increments, dial reads from 0 to 100.
Zero setting is quick and easy by turning the knurled bezel on the dial face.
